Behind the scenes: Pregnancy, Mother & Child

Get a glimpse behind the scenes of the Mother & Child shoot for Nordic Sleep — a campaign created to capture moments of closeness, calm, and care during pregnancy and between mother and child.

We wanted to celebrate not only the bond, but the beauty of pregnancy — the glow, the strength, and the quiet vulnerability that many women carry during this time. To move beyond staged perfection and instead honour the natural, intuitive connection that unfolds in real moments.

Together with the incredible photographer and stylist, we created a soft visual universe with muted tones, natural light, and tactile textures — allowing the sensory to speak.

This project remains one of the most meaningful and beautiful I’ve had the chance to be part of. I’m deeply proud of the work — both behind the scenes and in what it came to represent. A story of care, strength, and softness, captured with honesty and intention.

What I Always Notice

I walk past a poster in the cityscape. One of those many brands have traded in for digital paths. One you might overlook – surrounded by ads and offers. But something makes me stop. Maybe it’s the colours. The typography. Or just the sense that someone truly cared.

It happens often. That I notice how brands choose to present themselves. How they speak. What they do to create connection – not just attention. I see it in word choices, light, spacing. And in silence.

I can’t always explain why something works. But I can feel it. And perhaps that’s exactly why I keep working in the space where instinct meets intention. Because when something feels right, it’s often followed by a reaction – a click, a thought, a sense of belonging.

That’s what I aim to create. That’s what I’m always looking for.

How I spark creativity at work and home

Sometimes, creativity feels just out of reach — especially when juggling work and life. I’ve found that getting those creative sparks flying again isn’t about waiting for inspiration; it’s about creating the right conditions. Here’s what works for me:

  1. Switching up my environment
Whether it’s tidying my desk or stepping out for a quick walk, a change of scenery helps me see things differently. At work, it might mean brainstorming somewhere other than the office or away from the desk. At home, it’s about setting up a cozy corner with candles and a cup of tea (I am currently loving peppermint tea and matcha – thank you, Japan!)

  2. Diving into something new
I’ve discovered that trying something unfamiliar is a game-changer. Recently, I started experimenting with new ways to make graphics and exploring new video editing skall at work — it’s opened up new ways of thinking. At home, it could be as simple as trying a new recipe or flipping through a book outside my usual genres.

  3. Freewriting to clear my head
Keeping a journal, even if it’s just jotting down random thoughts, works wonders. It’s become a tool for both brainstorming ideas for marketing campaigns and reflecting on personal goals.

  4. Looking for fresh inspiration
I love seeking out new influences. Sometimes, it’s a marketing trend I hadn’t considered, and other times, it’s a documentary that sparks an idea I can bring to work or even my next project at home.

  5. Taking time to rest
I’ve learned that creativity needs space to breathe. A quick break or even just stepping away from a screen for a few minutes often leads to the best ideas — whether it’s solving a work challenge or planning something fun for friends and my boyfriend.

For me, sparking creativity is all about being intentional and staying curious. It’s a process, but one that makes every part of life — at work and home — more fulfilling.
